Scope of Application

 

Samgor offers a comprehensive portfolio of high‑performance passive components engineered to meet the stringent demands of high‑voltage and high‑power testing applications – including factory acceptance tests, on‑site commissioning, resonant test systems, and pulsed‑power diagnostics. Our products are designed to deliver exceptional linearity, thermal stability, and reliability under extreme electrical stresses, ensuring accurate and repeatable test results. Our product range includes: 

Air‑cored inductors with a unique foil‑winding configuration, delivering high Q factor and outstanding linearity for high‑frequency resonant circuits, filtering, and impedance matching. Mechanical stability is ensured via either epoxy potting or dedicated insulating fixtures.

 

Coupling capacitors designed for phase‑to‑ground connection in both solidly earthed and isolated neutral systems, serving functions such as power‑line carrier (PLC) communication, voltage measurement, and protective relaying – with fully bespoke solutions available.

 

DC‑link / filter capacitors tailored for HVDC converter stations and mission‑critical transmission infrastructure, as well as for 1.2–4 kV power conversion stages. Mounted on the DC bus between rectifier and inverter, they stabilize voltage, suppress ripple, and buffer energy for IGBT and SiC semiconductors. Constructed with metallised polypropylene film and dry‑epoxy aluminium housings, they offer high voltage resistance, low losses, self‑healing properties, and extended operational life, making them ideal for inverters, converters, solid‑state transformers (SST), and static var generators (SVG).

 

Grading capacitors for parallel installation across circuit breaker chambers, ensuring precise voltage distribution control. These customized solutions have either been fully qualified or are currently undergoing rigorous validation by leading circuit breaker manufacturers.

 

Impulse capacitors designed as energy‑storage components for short‑duration, high‑power pulsed discharge. They can be charged over a relatively long period and release the stored energy within microsecond to millisecond timescales, generating intense surge currents for pulsed‑power applications.

 

Ultra‑capacitor modules that integrate premium supercapacitor cells into compact, miniaturised packages via soldering or laser welding. Series and parallel assembly enables high‑voltage energy storage in a well‑engineered, space‑saving form factor.
